Public Board Meeting - August 2010

Dear teammates,

A typical Board meeting includes casual conversation, team business, planning events, updates on shop news, volunteering/delegating our "to do's", and good food + fun people.  The Board meets roughly once a month, but less during the summer as we're busy racing and often seeing each other at races and in training rides, swims, and runs.

We're getting together for a dinner and a Board meeting Sunday evening August 15th in Cambridge, up the bike path from Davis Sq/Alewife T.  Parking for cars on the streets and bikes on the back patio. Directions will be sent to the list serve.

We should have a good group with most everyone on the Board.  Anyone else (maybe you?) who might want to be on the Board next year or who is curious/eager to help would be welcomed!!  Your willingness to help the team in ways big and small really make a difference.  Join us! - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Twelve riders made the full 135 mile trek, while a few split off at Sagamore and others joined the group for remaining 60 miles post lunch.

Training Weekend was a Success

Our annual team training weekend was a blast. Wheelworks Multisport stayed at the Franconia Inn May 14-16th, 2010.

Training weekend provided a great opportunity for members to catch up and for new members to meet everyone. Saturday we split into a number of different groups teaming up for rides between 35 to 90 miles. We rode through the White Mountains and alongside rivers, forests and farms. It was really a nice treat.

After the rides many relaxed in the hot tub before the delicious 4-course meal at the Inn. Sunday some team members biked to Streeter pond for a swim while others added on another long bike or run. Read more about the Wheelworks Multisport Training Weekend.
